And um, but it it in the dark sort. And um, but it it in the dark sort. That's how we pastor the a pastor. That's how we pastor the a pastor. That's how we pastor the church. You know, you're 10, 15, 20 church. You know, you're 10, 15, 20 church. You know, you're 10, 15, 20 people that you are pastoring as a lifeg people that you are pastoring as a lifeg people that you are pastoring as a lifeg group leader by caring about them, group leader by caring about them, group leader by caring about them, sharing life with them, being there for sharing life with them, being there for sharing life with them, being there for them, for each other. I mean, you really, it seems like you're calling all of our members like you're calling all of our members like you're calling all of our members to really own the vision of the church to really own the vision of the church to really own the vision of the church in many ways, right? in many ways, right? in many ways, right? >> No doubt. I I mean, God is building his church on you and and is building his church on you and and is building his church on you and and you have a great purpose and and you can you have a great purpose and and you can you have a great purpose and and you can be amazing and used by God in a great be amazing and used by God in a great be amazing and used by God in a great way. And we challenge them, you know, in way. And we challenge them, you know, in way. And we challenge them, you know, in commitment rather than going, "Oh, you commitment rather than going, "Oh, you commitment rather than going, "Oh, you know, you work full-time in another job, know, you work full-time in another job, know, you work full-time in another job, so we can't ask you to do anything." No, we ask you and challenge you for one big we ask you and challenge you for one big we ask you and challenge you for one big reason, for your fulfillment. And we reason, for your fulfillment. We're all the same in it together. We're all the same in it together. We're all the same together. We're all supposed to be together. We're all supposed to be together. We're all supposed to be ministers each and every day, wherever ministers each and every day, wherever ministers each and every day, wherever we are. When you do that, then it's our we are. When you do that, then it's our we are. When you do that, then it's our job. Then the responsibility is totally job. Then the responsibility is totally job. Then the responsibility is totally on us as vocational pastors who are on us as vocational pastors who are on us as vocational pastors who are called to equip you, to give you called to equip you, to give you called to equip you, to give you everything you need. And that's that's everything you need. And that's that's everything you need. It's not like an instant, hey, right? It's not like an instant, hey, right? It's not like an instant, hey, you have a relationship with Jesus. Yes. you have a relationship with Jesus. I know we we talk about things like praying and we talk about things like praying and we talk about things like praying and reading your Bible, but when you really reading your Bible, but when you really reading your Bible, but when you really get down to it, what does that look like get down to it, what does that look like get down to it, what does that look like maybe in your own life? Well, I think maybe in your own life? Well, I think maybe in your own life? Well, I think Ryan that um there's a lot of Ryan that um there's a lot of Ryan that um there's a lot of misconceptions about what a disciple is. misconceptions about what a disciple is. misconceptions about what a disciple is. I think in the American church a lot of I think in the American church a lot of I think in the American church a lot of times we think of a disciple of Christ times we think of a disciple of Christ times we think of a disciple of Christ and being a growing disciple is someone and being a growing disciple is someone and being a growing disciple is someone who knows God's word really good, maybe who knows God's word really good, maybe who knows God's word really good, maybe goes to a lot of Bible studies, uh you goes to a lot of Bible studies, uh you goes to a lot of Bible studies, uh you know, has learned a lot about the Bible, know, has learned a lot about the Bible, know, has learned a lot about the Bible, always trying to learn something new always trying to learn something new always trying to learn something new that they don't know. And that's part of that they don't know. And that's part of that they don't know. And that's part of disciplehip, but that's not the big disciplehip, but that's not the big disciplehip, but that's not the big part. the the word disciple literally part. the the word disciple literally part. the the word disciple literally means a follower who follows the means a follower who follows the means a follower who follows the teachings and the life of someone you teachings and the life of someone you teachings and the life of someone you know and and Jesus follow Jesus said know and and Jesus follow Jesus said know and and Jesus follow Jesus said come follow me to his disciples and it come follow me to his disciples and it come follow me to his disciples and it wasn't about hey come learn the whole wasn't about hey come learn the whole wasn't about hey come learn the whole Old Testament it was come follow me the Old Testament it was come follow me the Old Testament it was come follow me the reason why we need to learn God's word reason why we need to learn God's word reason why we need to learn God's word better the reason why we need God's better the reason why we need God's better the reason why we need God's teaching in our lives is so it'll change teaching in our lives is so it'll change teaching in our lives is so it'll change our lives so that we can get to know our lives so that we can get to know our lives so that we can get to know Jesus better so we can be more like Jesus better so we can be more like Jesus better so we can be more like Christ because we want follow Jesus Christ because we want follow Jesus Christ because we want follow Jesus closer and closer. I know I need to closer and closer. I know I need to closer and closer. I know I need to follow Jesus a lot closer this year than follow Jesus a lot closer this year than follow Jesus a lot closer this year than I did last year. And and so we all want I did last year. And let me just say, uh life group leader, you're really say, uh life group leader, you're really say, uh life group leader, you're really a disciplehip group leader because how a disciplehip group leader because how a disciplehip group leader because how did Jesus disciple?

Sure, he taught them some scripture along the he taught them some scripture along the he taught them some scripture along the way and he but he asked mostly you ask way and he but he asked mostly you ask way and he but he asked mostly you ask them questions constantly and made them them questions constantly and made them them questions constantly and made them think and you know dig in and they saw think and you know dig in and they saw think and you know dig in and they saw his life and their lives were changed by his life and their lives were changed by his life and their lives were changed by and that's what you do in life group. and that's what you do in life group. and that's what you do in life group. You eat together, you have fun together, You eat together, you have fun together, You eat together, you have fun together, you study God's word together, you pray you study God's word together, you pray you study God's word together, you pray together, you cry together, you laugh together, you cry together, you laugh together, you cry together, you laugh together, you watch your kids grow up together, you watch your kids grow up together, you watch your kids grow up together for those of you who are together for those of you who are together for those of you who are couples, groups of kids. And so that's couples, groups of kids. And so that's couples, groups of kids. And so that's what um Jesus did. And so you're what um Jesus did. And so you're what um Jesus did. And so you're disciplehip group leaders. And I think disciplehip group leaders. And I think disciplehip group leaders. And I think there's no way that you can be discipled there's no way that you can be discipled there's no way that you can be discipled and grow as a disciple of Christ without and grow as a disciple of Christ without and grow as a disciple of Christ without being in a life group.
