Part of the role of the Holy Spirit is how he convicts us as we uh Spirit is how he convicts us as we uh Spirit is how he convicts us as we uh again focus on again focus on again focus on his word and open our hearts up, reflect his word and open our hearts up, reflect his word and open our hearts up, reflect on areas of our life that are not in on areas of our life that are not in on areas of our life that are not in sync with um sync with um sync with um with our God. And we're going to have with our God. And we're going to have with our God. And we're going to have folks up here in a bit that uh you want folks up here in a bit that uh you want folks up here in a bit that uh you want to pray with staff, leaders, elders. Maybe healing just that you're in. Maybe healing just that you're in. Maybe healing just emotionally. things happen in this world emotionally. things happen in this world emotionally. things happen in this world and uh God heals us through that. He restores us restores us restores us and it may be even a spiritual element and it may be even a spiritual element and it may be even a spiritual element of ju just praying for the spiritual of ju just praying for the spiritual of ju just praying for the spiritual healing. And James 1 tells us to consider good. And James 1 tells us to consider good. He's going to be teaching or four days. He's going to be teaching or four days. He's going to be teaching all morning on Saturday, teaches all morning on Saturday, teaches all morning on Saturday, teaches uh three times on Sunday. And uh three times on Sunday. And uh three times on Sunday. And physically, you could just hear it in physically, you could just hear it in physically, you could just hear it in his voice. His voice was raspy. His body his voice. And um you know, TA gets to minister to And um you know, TA gets to minister to And um you know, TA gets to minister to a lot of people, and we need to be a lot of people, and we need to be a lot of people, and we need to be ministered to. And uh it was just an affirmation affirmation affirmation for those of us uh that were around him for those of us uh that were around him for those of us uh that were around him that hey, this is, you know, God's got that hey, this is, you know, God's got that hey, this is, you know, God's got it. And so um um um again we know that we experience hard again we know that we experience hard again we know that we experience hard circumstances but because uh you know circumstances but because uh you know circumstances but because uh you know the the enemy uh is alive and well and the the enemy uh is alive and well and the the enemy uh is alive and well and um his oppression is all around us and

um his oppression is all around us and um his oppression is all around us and there can be a sense of that and it has there can be a sense of that and it has there can be a sense of that and it has nothing to do with us doing anything nothing to do with us doing anything nothing to do with us doing anything wrong. It's just there's a battle. Uh we wrong. It's just there's a battle. Uh we wrong. It's just there's a battle. Uh we know that he prowls around like a know that he prowls around like a know that he prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour roaring lion seeking someone to devour roaring lion seeking someone to devour and it reminds us of not only our and it reminds us of not only our and it reminds us of not only our dependence on God but our dependence on dependence on God but our dependence on dependence on God but our dependence on each other. God didn't make us to do each other. God didn't make us to do each other. God didn't make us to do this alone. I love how Jesus never sent this alone. I love how Jesus never sent this alone. I love how Jesus never sent the disciples out alone. There were the disciples out alone. There were the disciples out alone. Is this going to be something funny say. Is this going to be something funny say. Is this going to be something funny so that people think more of me? Uh is so that people think more of me? It's my identity in my job and the authority and identity in my job and the authority and identity in my job and the authority and position that I have. Am I performing position that I have. And I trusted Christ in my uh when I was And I trusted Christ in my uh when I was And I trusted Christ in my uh when I was 21, my junior year of college. And 21, my junior year of college. And 21, my junior year of college. And [music] [music] [music] I was so ashamed of that and I I just I was so ashamed of that and I I just I was so ashamed of that and I I just put it in the back closet and I thought, put it in the back closet and I thought, put it in the back closet and I thought, well, you know, I'm I'll deal with that well, you know, I'm I'll deal with that well, you know, I'm I'll deal with that uh uh uh and when I when I have to. I got married and when I when I have to. I got married and when I when I have to. I got married when I was 23.

And so then I thought, well, gosh, now And so then I thought, well, gosh, now And so then I thought, well, gosh, now I'm married, you know, so that's not I'm married, you know, so that's not I'm married, you know, so that's not going to be an issue anymore. And those were were lies from the pit of And those were were lies from the pit of And those were were lies from the pit of hell that the enemy used just to to draw hell that the enemy used just to to draw hell that the enemy used just to to draw me and ent trap and uh me and ent trap and uh me and ent trap and uh just bind me. just bind me. just bind me. And uh that continued And uh that continued And uh that continued that lifestyle of pornography and that lifestyle of pornography and that lifestyle of pornography and masturbation until I was in my mid30s. masturbation until I was in my mid30s. masturbation until I was in my mid30s. And u it led to severe consequences in And u it led to severe consequences in And u it led to severe consequences in my my marriage. Lucine and I have been my my marriage. Lucine and I have been my my marriage. Lucine and I have been married for 44 years and uh we we are married for 44 years and uh we we are married for 44 years and uh we we are one of those miracle stories. You know, one of those miracle stories. You know, one of those miracle stories. You know, God takes things. He takes dead things God takes things. He takes dead things God takes things. He takes dead things and he brings them back to life. He He and he brings them back to life. He He and he brings them back to life. He He can redeem things, [music] can redeem things, [music] can redeem things, [music] but when you look at the statistics, but when you look at the statistics, but when you look at the statistics, there are very very few there are very very few there are very very few marriages that survive marriages that survive marriages that survive uh the things that are part of our uh the things that are part of our uh the things that are part of our marriage story.

And God has incredible forever. And God has incredible forever.
