Um went to a Christian Christian family. Um went to a Christian Christian family. Um went to a Christian school my whole life. But from second school my whole life. But from second school my whole life. But from second grade up until senior year of high grade up until senior year of high grade up until senior year of high school, um I was bullied severely. Um you see, I'm more of the music, the you see, I'm more of the music, the you see, I'm more of the music, the creative and arts guy, and these guys creative and arts guy, and these guys creative and arts guy, and these guys were more of the sports, you know, like were more of the sports, you know, like were more of the sports, you know, like go football, like let's go Knicks kind go football, like let's go Knicks kind go football, like let's go Knicks kind of guys. And so I didn't really fit in of guys. And so I didn't really fit in of guys. And so I didn't really fit in with them. And behind my back they would with them. And behind my back they would with them. And behind my back they would call me names. They called me gay, too call me names. They called me gay, too call me names. They called me gay, too feminine to be a guy from literally feminine to be a guy from literally feminine to be a guy from literally second grade up into senior year of high second grade up into senior year of high second grade up into senior year of high school. And that led into college years school. And that led into college years school. And that led into college years uh where I ended up becoming the lies uh where I ended up becoming the lies uh where I ended up becoming the lies that they spoke over me. And I lived that they spoke over me. And I lived that they spoke over me. And I lived life as a gay man during those years.

I was chasing the things of the flesh, thinking that, you know, maybe flesh, thinking that, you know, maybe flesh, thinking that, you know, maybe someone can love me because I never someone can love me because I never someone can love me because I never experienced that in the Christian experienced that in the Christian experienced that in the Christian circles that I was in. And so, I was circles that I was in. And so, I was circles that I was in. And so, I was low-key really mad at God in that season low-key really mad at God in that season low-key really mad at God in that season of my life. And it wasn't until I had of my life. And it wasn't until I had of my life. And it wasn't until I had hit like this two week depression where hit like this two week depression where hit like this two week depression where I was in my dorm room. I had no I was in my dorm room. I had no I was in my dorm room. I had no roommates, so I was alone, just to give roommates, so I was alone, just to give roommates, so I was alone, just to give you some context. And it felt as if you some context. And it felt as if you some context. And it felt as if Jesus himself had walked into the room Jesus himself had walked into the room Jesus himself had walked into the room that last night. Students from all over were gathering to repent of their sins and gathering to repent of their sins and gathering to repent of their sins and turn back to God. And in this same turn back to God. And when I was at ministry school, God gave me I was at ministry school, God gave me I was at ministry school, God gave me this vision for New York City, this vision for New York City, this vision for New York City, specifically the men and women on specifically the men and women on specifically the men and women on Broadway who are stuck in lifestyles of Broadway who are stuck in lifestyles of Broadway who are stuck in lifestyles of confusion. And he said, "I'm going to confusion. And he said, "I'm going to confusion. And he said, "I'm going to send you to the very place that I send you to the very place that I send you to the very place that I delivered you from to go and set the delivered you from to go and set the delivered you from to go and set the captives free and bring my gospel to captives free and bring my gospel to captives free and bring my gospel to those people."

But you see, the problem was I was at a But you see, the problem was I was at a ministry school in California. How was I ministry school in California. How was I ministry school in California. How was I going to get to New York? I have no idea going to get to New York? I have no idea going to get to New York? I have no idea like any of the churches in New York like any of the churches in New York like any of the churches in New York City at that point. And so I had been City at that point. And so I had been talking to my parents about this vision talking to my parents about this vision talking to my parents about this vision that I got from the Lord. And they that I got from the Lord. And from that initial um from that initial moment where they um from that initial moment where they um from that initial moment where they got to experience the Times Square got to experience the Times Square got to experience the Times Square church culture, um the friends that church culture, um the friends that church culture, um the friends that we've made from that, the family friends we've made from that, the family friends we've made from that, the family friends have deeply impacted our lives. And they have deeply impacted our lives. And they have deeply impacted our lives. And they said, "Camden, there's this internship said, "Camden, there's this internship said, "Camden, there's this internship that you need to like look into um that that you need to like look into um that that you need to like look into um that they're doing for young adults." And they're doing for young adults." And they're doing for young adults." And I've been in that internship now for I've been in that internship now for I've been in that internship now for three months and it's radically changed three months and it's radically changed three months and it's radically changed my life. And it's all because of the faithfulness And it's all because of the faithfulness of this church to say we're not just of this church to say we're not just of this church to say we're not just going to um seek to save New York City, going to um seek to save New York City, going to um seek to save New York City, but we want to seek um and save the but we want to seek um and save the but we want to seek um and save the entire world, including Florida.

But to those in this room who are But to those in this room who are dealing struggling with your identity, dealing struggling with your identity, dealing struggling with your identity, whether it's same-sex attraction, whether it's same-sex attraction, whether it's same-sex attraction, whether it's Jesus, I don't believe that whether it's Jesus, I don't believe that whether it's Jesus, I don't believe that you're my father, believing that lie, I you're my father, believing that lie, I you're my father, believing that lie, I just want to say three things to you just want to say three things to you just want to say three things to you [sighs] that once you surrender your [sighs] that once you surrender your [sighs] that once you surrender your life to Jesus and actually let him be life to Jesus and actually let him be life to Jesus and actually let him be Lord over your life, everything will Lord over your life, everything will Lord over your life, everything will change. And you'll encounter this love change. And you'll encounter this love change. And you'll encounter this love and peace that you will never be able to and peace that you will never be able to and peace that you will never be able to find in the world. Uh it was supernatural.

His wife was very very elderly, very sick, and they just very elderly, very sick, and they just very elderly, very sick, and they just could not do it. They were looking for a could not do it. And I was the the closer outer, right? So uh it was insane. We we outer, right? So uh it was insane. We we outer, right? So uh it was insane. We we spent three and a half years there. Uh our our youngest daughter at the time our our youngest daughter at the time our our youngest daughter at the time was was 6 months old. All of the people was was 6 months old. All of the people uh just kept making it known that they uh just kept making it known that they uh just kept making it known that they did not want a crying baby in service. did not want a crying baby in service. did not want a crying baby in service. So our wife would spend uh the winters So our wife would spend uh the winters So our wife would spend uh the winters in the in the boiler room in the in the in the boiler room in the in the in the boiler room in the basement around the boiler because it basement around the boiler because it basement around the boiler because it was the only warm place and it was a was the only warm place and it was a was the only warm place and it was a season of hardship and it was a season season of hardship and it was a season season of hardship and it was a season of miracles and God was so faithful and of miracles and God was so faithful and of miracles and God was so faithful and after three and a half years God uh led after three and a half years God uh led after three and a half years God uh led us out and he brought us back to Times us out and he brought us back to Times us out and he brought us back to Times Kur Church where we we we've spent many Kur Church where we we we've spent many Kur Church where we we we've spent many years. It was awesome. And then after a years. It was awesome. And then after a years. It was awesome. And then after a year of rest, God just supernaturally it year of rest, God just supernaturally it year of rest, God just supernaturally it was supernatural the way that God began was supernatural the way that God began was supernatural the way that God began to invite us to begin to minister here.

But my drowning walking on the waves. But my drowning walking on the waves. But my drowning moment was coming because COVID hit. And moment was coming because COVID hit. And moment was coming because COVID hit. And when COVID hit, the whole world was in when COVID hit, the whole world was in when COVID hit, the whole world was in disarray. And it was very dark. It was disarray. And it was very dark. It was disarray. And it was very dark. It was scary. It was terrifying. The whole scary. It was terrifying. The whole scary. It was terrifying. The whole world changed. The church changed. I was world changed. The church changed. I was world changed. The church changed. I was very young in the ministry and suddenly very young in the ministry and suddenly very young in the ministry and suddenly the Lord just changed the way that he the Lord just changed the way that he the Lord just changed the way that he would speak to me. Suddenly I found the would speak to me. Suddenly I found the would speak to me. Suddenly I found the Lord just I I could not easily break Lord just I I could not easily break Lord just I I could not easily break into his presence into his presence into his presence and I turned bitter. and I turned bitter. and I turned bitter. I turned angry. I stopped seeking him. I turned angry. I stopped seeking him. I turned angry. I stopped seeking him. And it was it was God drawing something And it was it was God drawing something And it was it was God drawing something out in me because I knew how desperately out in me because I knew how desperately out in me because I knew how desperately I needed him and I could not seem to I needed him and I could not seem to I needed him and I could not seem to find him. And as I turned bitter, I had to And as I turned bitter, I had to And as I turned bitter, I had to continue to minister. I had to continue continue to minister. And so I began to develop my own methodologies and my own develop my own methodologies and my own develop my own methodologies and my own formulas. And I and I and and and um and formulas. She Camden Vanamala said this one line. She Camden Vanamala said this one line. There are times there are things that God begins to draw out in things that God begins to draw out in things that God begins to draw out in your lives when the pressures and the your lives when the pressures and the your lives when the pressures and the testing and the hard things come and testing and the hard things come and testing and the hard things come and there is suddenly arises of bitterness. there is suddenly arises of bitterness. there is suddenly arises of bitterness. I thought God was judging me. I thought God was judging me. I thought God was judging me. I thought God was mad at me. It's I thought God was mad at me. It's I thought God was mad at me. It's because I did not know the gospel. because I did not know the gospel. because I did not know the gospel. And so I found myself in this long And so I found myself in this long And so I found myself in this long season stuck where God would come in season stuck where God would come in season stuck where God would come in services in in worship times and he services in in worship times and he services in in worship times and he would just be speaking to me. Do you would just be speaking to me. Do you would just be speaking to me. Do you want to be healed? want to be healed? want to be healed? And what I found myself doing, I don't And what I found myself doing, I don't And what I found myself doing, I don't know if anybody done that here before. know if anybody done that here before. know if anybody done that here before. I was not hearing the gospel. And it's I was not hearing the gospel. And it's I was not hearing the gospel. And it's as if I didn't necessarily want the as if I didn't necessarily want the as if I didn't necessarily want the gospel to work. I wanted my formula to gospel to work. And I just want to I I want to just put And I just want to I I want to just put And I just want to I I want to just put this this u um this formula up on the this this u um this formula up on the this this u um this formula up on the screen. I don't know if we could find it screen. I don't know if we could find it screen. I don't know if we could find it really quickly. This is how our really quickly. This is how our really quickly. This is how our spiritual work uh formulas work. It's spiritual work uh formulas work. It's spiritual work uh formulas work. It's it's when we want to control the it's when we want to control the it's when we want to control the outcome. We want to force the hand of outcome. We want to force the hand of outcome.
