Uh, as I graduated, um, this devotional Uh, as I graduated, um, this devotional Uh, as I graduated, um, this devotional life, this habit of having a devotional life, this habit of having a devotional life, this habit of having a devotional life stuck with me. Uh, I graduated, I life stuck with me. Uh, I graduated, I life stuck with me. Uh, I graduated, I worked at Summit for two years, and then worked at Summit for two years, and then worked at Summit for two years, and then my wife and I, we moved to Colorado. And as many of you know, moving to a new as many of you know, moving to a new as many of you know, moving to a new place often is very scary. It's it's place often is very scary. It can be very difficult to find a church that has very difficult to find a church that has very difficult to find a church that has everything that you desire. everything that you desire. everything that you desire. And for the first several months, it was And for the first several months, it was And for the first several months, it was very difficult for my wife and I. But very difficult for my wife and I. Listening in our devotional times, in our Bible our devotional times, in our Bible our devotional times, in our Bible readings as we prayed together to seek readings as we prayed together to seek readings as we prayed together to seek God for direction, to seek God for his God for direction, to seek God for his God for direction, to seek God for his voice and what he wanted us to do. You're yourself, you don't need anybody. You're yourself, you don't need anybody. You're better off on your own. So many people better off on your own. So many people better off on your own. So many people have left you, there's no point in have left you, there's no point in have left you, there's no point in opening up because it's just another opening up because it's just another opening up because it's just another opportunity to be hurt and to be opportunity to be hurt and to be opportunity to be hurt and to be betrayed. But then on the other end of that same spectrum, you can have people that same spectrum, you can have people that same spectrum, you can have people who want to trust and they're so who want to trust and they're so who want to trust and they're so terrified of being alone and terrified of being alone and terrified of being alone and disconnected that they will throw disconnected that they will throw disconnected that they will throw themselves in to unhealthy attachment, themselves in to unhealthy attachment, themselves in to unhealthy attachment, deep attachment, even if the deep attachment, even if the deep attachment, even if the consequences are toxic and controlling.

You have people that experience orphan have people that experience orphan have people that experience orphan mindsets because of things that have mindsets because of things that have mindsets because of things that have happened. And then you've got people who happened. And then you've got people who happened. And then you've got people who just face orphan moments and both of just face orphan moments and both of just face orphan moments and both of them have powerful effects on us that them have powerful effects on us that them have powerful effects on us that God wants to do something about.
