Summary

The sermon's main theme is the true meaning of penance and fasting, drawing from Isaiah's prophecy. It highlights that God desires not mere outward shows of humility but the liberation of the oppressed and the undoing of injustice. The practical takeaway is to perform acts of penance with sincerity, focusing on mercy and righteousness rather than just empty rituals.
