Summary

No one can achieve righteousness through perfectly following God's law, as Romans 3:20 states all have sinned. However, a righteousness from God has been made known through faith in Jesus Christ, who was presented as a sacrifice of atonement to turn aside God's wrath and take away sin. The practical takeaway is to give all glory to God and not to ourselves, just as athletes should not point to themselves after achievements.
