Sometimes life can become so right now. Sometimes life can become so right now. Sometimes life can become so overwhelming that we can't even see God overwhelming that we can't even see God overwhelming that we can't even see God anymore. I know we're in church and we anymore. But because I'm coming out of a season where God has I'm coming out of a season where God has I'm coming out of a season where God has brought me down to absolutely nothing, I brought me down to absolutely nothing, I brought me down to absolutely nothing, I got to tell you that there were some got to tell you that there were some got to tell you that there were some moments where I couldn't see God, where moments where I couldn't see God, where moments where I couldn't see God, where I couldn't understand what he was doing, I couldn't understand what he was doing, I couldn't understand what he was doing, where I couldn't understand where his where I couldn't understand where his where I couldn't understand where his hand was. God, where are you in the hand was. God, where are you in the hand was. God, where are you in the midst of it all?

And don't be fooled into believing And don't be fooled into believing that struggling to see God is something that struggling to see God is something that struggling to see God is something that is reserved for just when you're at that is reserved for just when you're at that is reserved for just when you're at the lowest moment in your life. the lowest moment in your life. the lowest moment in your life. Because there are some moments where you Because there are some moments where you Because there are some moments where you are on a mountaintop and you're still trying to look around and you're still trying to look around to see if you can see God. to see if you can see God. to see if you can see God. I'm reminded of Elijah I'm reminded of Elijah I'm reminded of Elijah after having one of the most powerful after having one of the most powerful after having one of the most powerful demonstrations of God's power. We turn into the very next chapter and he is into the very next chapter and he is into the very next chapter and he is literally having suicidal ideations he literally having suicidal ideations he literally having suicidal ideations he don't want to live anymore. don't want to live anymore. don't want to live anymore. How do you go from being on the How do you go from being on the How do you go from being on the mountaintop where you know God's power mountaintop where you know God's power mountaintop where you know God's power where you showed up in the fight where where you showed up in the fight where where you showed up in the fight where you got the victory and then the very you got the victory and then the very you got the victory and then the very next chapter you're wondering where God next chapter you're wondering where God next chapter you're wondering where God is in the midst of it all. Is there is in the midst of it all. Is there is in the midst of it all. Is there anybody in this room who knows what it's anybody in this room who knows what it's anybody in this room who knows what it's like to be looking for God?

Elijah was looking for God. And in that Elijah was looking for God. And in that moment, he didn't get the answer from moment, he didn't get the answer from moment, he didn't get the answer from God. I've already gone ahead of you." right. I've already gone ahead of you." right. I've already gone ahead of you." God just gives him presence. Yeah. Yeah. Which helps me to understand that Which helps me to understand that Which helps me to understand that sometimes we're saying we want to see sometimes we're saying we want to see sometimes we're saying we want to see God, but that's not really what's God, but that's not really what's God, but that's not really what's happening. happening. happening. >> We want to be God. Because if I have his presence, then I understand that presence, then I understand that presence, then I understand that whatever is going to happen, it won't whatever is going to happen, it won't whatever is going to happen, it won't just happen to me. It's going to have to just happen to me. It's going to have to just happen to me. It's going to have to happen in the presence of God. I wish I happen in the presence of God. We're doing it because we recognize that if I have it because we recognize that if I have it because we recognize that if I have the presence of God, as much as I would the presence of God, as much as I would the presence of God, as much as I would like the answers, as much as I would like the answers, as much as I would like the answers, as much as I would like to know what happens in five years, like to know what happens in five years, like to know what happens in five years, as much as I would like to understand as much as I would like to understand as much as I would like to understand what's on the other side of the custody what's on the other side of the custody what's on the other side of the custody battle, as much as I would like to have battle, as much as I would like to have battle, as much as I would like to have all the answers right now, he's only all the answers right now, he's only all the answers right now, he's only given me his presence. And if he's only given me his presence. And if he's only given me his presence. And if he's only GIVEN ME HIS PRESENCE, I don't have a GIVEN ME HIS PRESENCE, I don't have a GIVEN ME HIS PRESENCE, I don't have a choice but to soak in it. Cuz the choice but to soak in it. THE presence may be the strength that gives me what I may be the strength that gives me what I may be the strength that gives me what I need to walk through this moment.

So you got to be honest with yourself. If If If we really saw things the way that God we really saw things the way that God we really saw things the way that God sees them, sees them, sees them, then when we are having moments where we then when we are having moments where we then when we are having moments where we are experiencing chaos, we would not are experiencing chaos, we would not are experiencing chaos, we would not have doubt. have doubt. have doubt. and we would not have fear and we would not have fear and we would not have fear because for God chaos is an opportunity.
