Religious involvement alone does not prove saving faith, as exemplified by the Israelites in the Old Testament and the Pharisees. The parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25 illustrates that outward religious activity and virtue are insufficient without the essential "oil" of a genuine relationship with God. Therefore, being religiously active or in ministry is not a guarantee of salvation; true faith requires an internal reality.
