It's actually quite

One of the interesting things about the One of the interesting things about the One of the interesting things about the Bible and especially this series, Bible and especially this series, Bible and especially this series, there's kind of been two major plot there's kind of been two major plot there's kind of been two major plot points for the kings of Judah, there's points for the kings of Judah, there's points for the kings of Judah, there's been one plot point where you have a been one plot point where you have a been one plot point where you have a king that is faithful, so God brings king that is faithful, so God brings king that is faithful, so God brings blessing and protection. Then you have kings who are unfaithful, so God brings kings who are unfaithful, so God brings kings who are unfaithful, so God brings judgment and loss. And when we read judgment and loss. And when we read those stories, to be honest, whether you those stories, to be honest, whether you those stories, to be honest, whether you believe in Jesus or not, we can all kind believe in Jesus or not, we can all kind believe in Jesus or not, we can all kind of intuitit that that reality because in of intuitit that that reality because in of intuitit that that reality because in our minds it makes sense. That makes sense to us. But there's another plot sense to us. But there's another plot sense to us. Sometimes there's faithful kings who are Sometimes there's faithful kings who are Sometimes there's faithful kings who are do right what's in the eyes of the Lord do right what's in the eyes of the Lord do right what's in the eyes of the Lord and their reigns are cut short and they and their reigns are cut short and they and their reigns are cut short and they face even greater challenges. Or what happens often is we fall into this trap where we begin to fall into this trap where we begin to fall into this trap where we begin to believe that our circumstances are a believe that our circumstances are a believe that our circumstances are a direct reflection of our faithfulness direct reflection of our faithfulness direct reflection of our faithfulness and nearness to God. So what happens is we buy the lie that if there's blessing we buy the lie that if there's blessing we buy the lie that if there's blessing in my life, it must be because I God is in my life, it must be because I God is in my life, it must be because I God is pleased with me.
